Dead 2015

#286051 11 months ago
[Mickey Hart] doesn’t negate rejoining his old friends at some point. \"Anything is possible. It’s just that everybody is doing what they want to do right now, and it’s working well for everybody,\" he said. \"As long as we’re above ground and in performing state, it could happen if we all wanted it to happen.\" (from www.jpost.com/Arts-and-Culture/Arts/A-st...-in-Jerusalem-322823 )

In a November 2011 interview when Keith Richards was asked if Mick Jagger was invited to the jam sessions in London to prepare for the Stones\' 50th, he responded, \"Of course. I mean, everybody’s welcome. I was going to ask Bill Wyman to come by too. And Mick Taylor. The whole lot. They’re all Stones, you know? Why not?\"

Well, I\'d love to see Phil take that same approach to the GD\'s 50th anniversary, inviting T.C., Donna, and Bruce all to join in.

Also for the 50th they should invite lots of special guests to take turns being \"out front.\" Like. . . Branford Marsalis! And Robert Hunter, Carlos Santana, Bob Dylan, Sting, David Crosby, Dickey Betts, Derek Trucks, Trey Anastasio, et al.

They could even have the ABB as an opening band

Make it the best possible post-Garcia event/tour, the Best Jam Of The 21st Century.

Last night I was thinking that with the Phil Lesh Quintet working together again we might end up seeing Herring and Haynes in Dead 2015.

For what it's worth, this post from .org would seem to support that notion:
