Alright all you chi-town people... I've been plucked from my woods in northern New England and am currently penned up in Chicago for a lovely weekend with the in-laws. The main reason I was forced to come out here was for a 90th (!) birthday party that is tomorrow night and I just found out it is a "no jeans/shirt and tie" affair. Looks like I have to go shopping tomorrow morning. Frickin' frackin' etc etc...

Anyway, if there are any Chicago area people on here that know of any (and I mean ANY) decent music happening here this weekend (fri, sat, or sun) I would be forever in debt to you if you could let me know. I checked jambase but found nothing.

if jambase doesn't work for ya i find that chicagoreader.com will usually have something worth seeing. it's been a slow music scene in chicago this winter.

The following Saturday, the 26th, Billy K and 7 walkers at the Double Door.

And you cant go wrong with any of the blues bars. Kingston Mines, B.L.U.E.S etc... ...
