I find it funny that you posted this thread, this last week I've been listening to the run that the Grateful Dead did back in April 1971 from 25-29 at the Fillmore East, it was released as Ladies & Gentlemen but I find listening to each individual show is so much better then the CD set. I've always loved this song, it was one of my mom's favorite Merle Haggard songs, I've always felt that this song was made for Jerry to sing.

WOW I have a few excerps or however you spell it on vinyl from those dates and DUANE ALLMAN on stage during sugar mag and a few others. He tears it up!! Love Love Love sing me back home.. Wonder if bobby could turn back the years for us one more time. Funny how the CD has that title for my 2 lp set is titled Garcia's Gang. So Very Cool.
