"Oh the fishes will laugh
As they swim out of the path
And the seagulls they'll be smiling
And the rocks on the sand
Will proudly stand
The hour that the ship comes in."

~When The Ship Comes In

Recently I was driving to work and listening to a Trampled By Turtles show and they played this song. I nearly drove of the road because I remembered it from my childhood. I hadn't thought of that sound in 30+ years and if you had told me the title I would have said "never heard of it" but when I heard TbT start playing it I not only remembered every word but had actual memories of driving in my parents old Volkswagen Eurovan and my father listening to this song. Strange moment for sure. I must have listened to it 50X in the past week.

Hey Lynx, I didn't want to muddie this thread with a link, but search google for Trampled Turtles When the Ship Comes in, and you will find a nice youtube version from the 10,000 Lakes Fest in 2009

"They sat together in the park.
As the evening sky grew dark.
She looked at him and he felt a spark,
tingle to his bones.
Twas then he felt alone.
And wished that he'd gone straight.
And watched out for that simple twist of fate."
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.
