Good rowdy recordings of the Dead?

#26003 3 years, 5 months ago
Love searching through sugarmegs and archives.org for old Dead shows, does anyone have any suggestions of what shows were the rowdiest (crowd, band, etc.) I've been listening to alot of mellow shows lately, and I want to do the opposite extreme with a energetic show.

"It's time to play everybody's favorite fun game ... take a step back.... on account of these folks up front are getting horribly smashed."

I'm not sure exactly what show that was, but I'll never forget Bobby saying that.

Bob: Now it's time to play everyone's favorite fun game, move back!... Take a step back! Now take another...step back! And another! Take a step back!!

(funky drums and keyboard)

Bob: Now doesn't that feel better?... Whatdaya mean, NO?!?

Jerry: Everyone up front here is geting horribly smashed. If you just move back some....

Bob: then all your friends up front won't look real bug-eyed.

This AUD completely captures a crowd reaching maddening orgasmic bliss...and a great show taboot Also happens to be a favorite of the one and only Charlie Miller. Start with the Scarlet and play it on a good system
