Exactyly FOUR weeks from tonight, I will be in Denver.

Locals, got any favorite eateries? Best mexican food?

Depends on where you are staying. If around RR (Lakewood, Golden or Morrison), then I would suggest Jose O'Shea's, which is pretty much at 6th Ave freeway (actually 4th) and Union. Good food, GREAT margaritas and close to RR. If you are into sushi...head down Union towards 2nd and Union and you will find Kobe An. Great sushi (for being 1000 miles from any ocean), but a bit pricey (a little more reasonable for lunch).

Amanda doesn't eat fish (drives me crazy), so no Sushi for us

I will check out Jose O'Sheas, Amanda likes Margarita's, I don't drink but I LOVE mexican food

Jose O'Shea's does sound good, it's less than 2 miles from my hotel. I've been checking out restaurants and menus, including finding the closest 24 hour drive-thrus to the hotel!

FOUR WEEKS FROM TONIGHT IS OPENING NIGHT!!!

Is anybody else staying at the Courtyard or Residence Inn this year? I have a feeling it may be a whole lot quieter than last year, but that might not be all bad, if I want to survive 4 shows.

There is a mall in Lakewood that houses the Yard House. It's a chain, but if you dig a variety of good brews, they have over 100 selections on tap. It's only ten mins from RR.

I'm staying at a Quality Inn near the airport but I expect to be at the Courtyard quite a bit.

Thats the trouble with red rocks is that you are in suburb ville so the food and beer is mainly chain restaurants. The real food and pubs are in Denver or Boulder. I suppose Golden has a few.
I went walkin' out last summer
Tryin' to find a breath of air
I went walkin' on the mountain
A friend had told me I'd find you there
