Best Multi Night Run at same Venue

#250126 1 year, 5 months ago
To spin off from Lewis thread, what is your favorite multinight run at the same venue?

03/24/85- Springfield Civic Center - Springfield, MA
03/25/85- Springfield Civic Center - Springfield, MA

03/30/86- Providence Civic Center - Providence, RI
03/31/86- Providence Civic Center - Providence, RI
04/01/86- Providence Civic Center - Providence, RI

These 2 runs were very good. Not just musically, but venue, crowd, and mind were all in line.

For me it would have to some run at the Spectrum. Beyond a certain point in the mid 80s I didn't miss a single show there. Hard to say which run though. 10/18-20/89 -- Brent's final Philly shows? Those were pretty fine.

Longest consecutive run I ever did at one venue, was 6 shows at MSG, fall tour 1988. That was life changing.
Other than that, some 3 show runs at Knickerbocker, or the Spectrum.
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.

Definitely the two night run in my home town of Ann Arbor at Crisler Arena in April '89, right after Michigan last won the National Basketball championship. The shows were wonderful, but there was a mini-riot on campus after the basketball win, which was blamed on those evil hippies that invaded the town at about the same time, and there hasn't been a concert at Crisler since. I'm hoping that changes soon, since they just renovated the Arena. Maybe if Michigan wins this weekend, it will be a sign I'm going to get my Crisler or Hill Auditorium shows!!

And every run at Alpine Valley was special!!

As for Furthur, it was definitely Red Rocks 2012.

I went to that run also. So many great memories at MSG, definitely the place I saw them the most at, over 20 shows there

yup...those sure were fun...NYC before it got sanitized, disney-fied and militarized

great memory from that run: friends of mine who now constitute a fairly famous 'jam band' selling balloons outside the garden

teafortexas mentioned the shoreline sept/oct 89 run (in the longest tours thread). I had several out of body experiences during this run. This is where I became forever and permanently buckled into a seat on the bus! The only time I have ever had opium (on top of everything else), 'nuff said!
I went walkin' out last summer
Tryin' to find a breath of air
I went walkin' on the mountain
A friend had told me I'd find you there
