What Furthur song performance has stuck with you?

#25012 3 years, 4 months ago
Estimated Prophet
3-30-11 Pittsburgh, PA

Seven shows down, no Estimated. My eight, in my second home, felt like I was billions and billions of miles away and it was being played in an arena with just me occupying the space. Earlier in the day we were standing on the top floor of the parking garage looking down on the streets of Oakland, so the lyric, "This afternoon, streets turned grey and I watched the cars below", took on a wholly different and sublime meaning.

Please share yours!!!

The Crazy Fingers at Art Park in July of 2010. Wow!

Also the Althea from Cincinnati last Fall 2010. - I was in the front row right in front of Jeff. I had a line of sight going under the Hammond to see Jeff's hands on the piano for the entire performance. His solos here were the best of the night IMO. Getting to see it all was such a treat and is definitely a performance that has stuck with me.

Any chance you are over at r/gratefuldead? Haha.

I caught the Sunday night show in Brooklyn. I wish they could have worked out playing there this summer again. That stadium on the water was magic.

pissed at myself for not doing the Brooklyn shows last year, but anyway...

Terrapin Station - 11/20/10 MSG
Weather Report Suite - 11/21/10 MSG (which went >Time>Let It Grow but the WR especially stuck with me)
A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall - 11/19/10 Worcester
Morning Dew - 2/23/10 (even though 3/27/11 may have been better)
