Lol, good question.

I've had fries with gravy, but not the cheese curds. I gotta try that sometime.

I remember one night, after seeing the dead in 94 at the Nassau Colisseum, we were walking around Manhattan "unwinding" and looking for a place to eat. We went into some diner and I saw on the menu : French fries with cheese and gravy. Let me tell you that that was no Poutine. It was a bowl of french fries with gravy, and a slice of processed cheese melted on top. I guess you would have to be from Quebec to realize how ridiculous that dish was.

I think I'm in the mood for a Poutine for lunch

Let me rephrase that.

I'm going to have to try a real bowl of that sometime.

(((Pork Store)))

I will have to go to STL to conduct my own research.

Bill has had a history of "things checking out"- I do trust his "best" a man that has been around

Hey Bill, what was that ice cream (frozen yogurt?) place you told us about last year? I died and went to heaven with that apple pie a la mode dish they make.
...was staring at the little blotch of sunshine with a special intensity, considering lying down in it.

The apple pie sundae!

I've said before and I think it's still true, that may well be the best thing I've ever eaten in my entire life.

The absolute tastiest. The way the cinnamon, apples, and caramel all mix with the frozen custard.

It is unbelievable.

I'm glad you tried one to see what it was like. A genuine treat.

Thanks for reminding me.

NobleGlassArt, another must for your culinary tour of StL.

Thanks Jade.

I only recommend a place that goes way over what I expected.

Like the places you visited on your last stop here.

They went wayyyy over.

And at a reasonable price at that.

I'm so glad you started this thread! Looking forward to totally chowing down!

The horseshoe... It's sort of like an open faced sandwich. texas toast, two big hamburgers, smothered in cheese sauce, topped with french fries, then smothered with cheese sauce again.

It's quite an experience

I think there's a place down there that is based around them now, I'm gonna check out the STL version
