TC: You write a lot of instrumentals. Do you feel you can get a message out just as efficiently with just the instrumentation as opposed to lyrics?
SK: That’s a good question. I don’t know. It’s entirely possible to have a purely instrumental space that’s provocative in a way that people would read this a beautiful moment. You can have a song that lyrically can be saying something that would be giving you the same feeling of well here’s a beautiful moment. And you can mess either up with having people more or less vocal or instrumental. I don’t know if even those instances particularly make it or don’t make it.
