There's a meteor shower going on right now! The Quadrantids are doing their thing until before dawn. Leaving soon to head out to the lake, in what will probably be yet another futile effort to photograph this celestial phenomenon. Of course, it had to be 23 right now. At least the winds are light. If you got clear skies ,get out and check it out. Look northeast.
Thank You Cody, we are forever Grateful!

I appreciated the heads up, but we were clouded over here, unfortunately. Did you get any pictures?

Another futile effort. Spent 3 hours in 19 degree weather and saw maybe 5 meteors. None in photos. Did practice star photography, but even that far out, the man-made ambient light limits the lower half of the horizon. Working on those now.
Thank You Cody, we are forever Grateful!

Here's something very good: I think I finally have some weather perspective!! We already had almost a foot on the ground, another foot is falling now, to be followed by subzero temps but I don't care!! I've got hot cider, lots of good food, electricity, a basketball game, 2 playoff football games, and above all, a plowing already scheduled for whenever it all stops tomorrow or Tuesday!!! I'm actually going to enjoy this one. So gimme your worst Winter Storm Ion, I'm gonna get the best of YOU!!

But do be careful out there folks who are in the path of this nasty storm, stay warm and stay home if you can!!

Looks like most of the snow will miss me.
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.
