Well I know of at least one...you! But, again, I know what you mean. It seems that certain mediums are considered the domain of "real" artists while others are relegated to "hobbyists". I'm not sure this distinction is real however. Perhaps art is a process, not a title. Perhaps not. In any case your art seems unique, which is an accomplishment in itself. Most of my art is wildlife related and that's been done SO many times that finding a new angle on wildlife art can be tough.

This one's pretty simple but many people say it's their favorite. If you blink a strobe light at it it bounces up and down off the page like a spring, very cool effect that just happened by chance.





Here's another simple one with a cool strobe effect. The rays of the 3rd sun in back are just the white background, and when you flash the strobe they jump out in a pretty cool way. Yeah, I was way into the strobe light back in the day...

I always loved the effect created by the crossing lines in the center of this one - sort of a "sonar" feel to it, which of course was completely unplanned.

This, I believe, was the last one I ever made. It's not quite finished but still is pretty cool. It's a good example of fluorescent brown - particularly the 2 rings of circles on each side. When you blink a strobe on those, they spin around and you can speed them up or slow them down by changing the speed of the strobe.

oh Poz, thank you for sharing your art, but also thanks for delineating your creative processes. I like your work very much. Especially the flat 3d effect piece, in particular the geometry in the center, as well as the marathon session masterpiece..its like the electric weaving of dimensions. And the last set of flowers were waving at me as they scrolled up!

This is an homage to Jerry by Miki Saito. please give her good thoughts. As far as we know, she is still alive somewhere between the disaster zone and Nara City. She would not want anyone to be sad for her, but I am sure she can use good vibes.

I did some similar stuff on a wall of a house I rented many moons ago. Brings back memories, all good!

Need to dig out some of my tile work I used to do.

Thanks, PMoondancer! It's a CD called Tales of Abercrombie 2. I do have a big project coming up which kind of fell in my lap called "the Lambdoodle Cafe". It's been on hold for a while now because I've been caring for my mom who has a terminal illness, but I need to pursue this opportunity, for sure. Thanks for the encouragement!!
