people mocked me for giving credit to folks like the lesh bros and ross james but they are great musicians, they GET IT. is everything a masterpiece? no. but they're young, and barely scratching the surface on what i am sure will be a lifetime of playing music. refining their skills at terrapin crossroads is exactly what they should be doing. phil is fostering the growth of many musicians there.

I thought his sons played really well at Levon's Ramble last July, they sounded good on what they sang to. Whiskey in the Jar and Old Man were great, and totally unexpected. Phil singing Black Peter was pretty cool to.
