Mickey Hart

#235660 1 year, 2 months ago
Mickey has an album cuts he's released for free, with the option to donate to the Jersey Shore cleanup project.

There's 10 or 11 cuts, some live, some from Mysterium Tremendum.

A great chance to download some of his unique music and help a good cause as well.

Plus there's some more free dl's on the site as well.

An excellent mix of some GD tunes and his newer stuff.

FWIW, I'd rather see his band than Furthur. The scene is classy and chill and the music angelic and spacey.

Not that I don't love Furthur mind you. I'm more of a scene person with them, and their music is very well made.

I just love Mickey's band and shows. Who else is playing space from the universe? The soundscapes are amazing.

Well worth a little bit of your hard earned.

I'm a bit surprised this hasn't gotten a few responses.

Usually Mickey gets some interest on this board.

Free music of this quality seems like it would too.

I know there's some MHB fans here.

It's definitely great music, and the free download is certainly worth it! I'm not sure I'd take Mickey over Furthur, though. Kind of wish they'd play together, actually. But it's great that he's doing something concrete to help New Jersey!

I saw MHB a couple of times. Good stuff.

MHB will be back here one week after Furthur

I wonder what their plan is once Widespread starts touring again?? I wouldn't mind a Rhythm Devil reunion!

I figured the Furthur blaspheme would at least get a couple of comments.

Good point about WSP, maybe bass mountain can do both. After all Mickey plays smaller
Venues on off days, like during the week.

I'm just hoping They come here again, which I believe they will.

That would be the line that I was treating with kid gloves, though I'm surprised someone didn't bite!!

bill, all due respect, seems like you were just stirring the pot with the mickey over furthur comment. everybody knows you didn't mean it. i've seen them a handful of times and although it's good, i feel dave schools is severely under showcased in that group and there is often times too much going on with a couple extras on stage. the few shows i saw seemed to be the exact same, with a couple different choice cover tunes. i would totally go see them again but if it was furthur show or mickeys band show, absolutely no contest unless i only had 20 or 30 bucks and no ride to furthur.
who else is gonna bring you, a broken arrow?

The first time I saw them, although a fun time, I didn't get overly into it, but the last 2 times at the Mish late last summer they were phenomenal. probably takes a time or two to get used to them

MHB had a slow start. They went through some personnel changes, and just didn't have a lot of original material.
Given time, I feel Mickey could do great things with that band. Not someone I could see repeatedly, but I would
happily see him and his band, anytime they play nearby.

Now Furthur, they don't play nearby anymore. But yes, I will make a greater effort to see them.

And, still holding out hope, they will all play together again, at some point.
