this is because the U.S. Military is having a hard time getting enough bodies to fill it's ranks...

I think its a terrible idea for so many reasons...


1. their physical ability isn't equivalent to that of a mans...
(I practically live in the gym. & I dont know any women, who can carry around 80lbs of gear=ALL DAY LONG!)
DO YOU?
let alone be expected to kick in doors, & physically detain people, as well as sprint in urban environments..
i.e. stairs, alley-ways, urban obstacles...
& your unit is only as fast/agile as its slowest members of that unit...


2. could you imagine what type of atrocities these soldiers will be subject to, if captured?

3. Rapes in the military are of epic proportions already...
(I could only imagine what would happen in a combat theatre)

No, since you asked I passed that as well as high school and college. I saw those lines on a comedy show last night and found them pretty fin funny as did the audience. I even ran it past the wife this morning and she got a laugh out of it. I'm sorry about your lack of sense of humor...

Oh and since we are taking this "serious" I say as long as females can pass the same physical & mental tests as males (without lowering the standards) they have every right to get in combat if they wish. My only fear is what happens if they become a POW.... especially in the middle east.... but again these are strong ladies and they know what they are signing up for (it is volunteer to go into combat if female).

the military is now altering that contract, & these poor women have no say...

they'll be pressured, until they submit to being deployed...
