my grandmother, Celina, would make a jellied salad with tomato soup and jello, Aspic she called it. it had celery, beets, and other veggies in it. maybe the odd kraft mini marshmallow, if she was feeling frisky. some times, if she got into the Paul Masson "or Paul Mason" brandy there would be DeMaurier cigarette ashes in it.....this was a real crowd pleaser at family functions.
