No, they charged the quoted price, but there isn't even a hold on that amount.

During the Shoreline shows I experienced the same thing with a DAYS INN did not see the deposit come back for a week, It all worked out in the end. Typical of hotels and motels, I say.

that is kind of weird but hotels have such a delay on their billing and all banks have different types of hold times etc etc

I see it on my bill now and they overcharged me by almost $200... waiting to get in touch with someone there to fix it. You may want to check out your bill...

I was charged the quoted price, but an increase in price for NYE, which I can live with. It was an expensive trip with airfare/hotel/tickets/other stuff

Side note, this Colorado trip is less that 1/4 cost of the California trip. Really cheap . I know the California trip had people lookin at their funds, but CO is reasonable. Especially with family in the area who already have rooms and a way to get in the shows hint, hint...
