I wish I could list more, but honestly, with Bobby's awful tone issues (that shit is getting worse, I cant even listen to the tapes afterward because that tone is really harsh)
THIS. The 2012 NYE SBDs are like listening to a cat plucking away at the strings above the nut at the tuning keys. Loud. Out front in the mix. Just so disruptive. It's a great reason to listen to the AUDs over the SBDs. Everything else is this compressed, muddy blur, and then there is this awful set of sounds repeating repeating repeating that are clear as can be.
2010-03-02 (It Must Have Been the Roses; Let It Grow was epicly gorgeous...and so, so smooth)
2010-03-03 *one of my top recommendations
2010-07-05 (Playing reprise/jam has those gorgeous Jerry tones of '74; nice sequence of China Doll > Fire on the Mountain, The Other One, with TOO being disjointed in a good way) *one of my top recommendations
2010-07-11 (spacey part of the jam section of Lost Sailor; The Wheel; Mountains of the Moon is sixteen minutes of stunning; Blues for Allah > At a Siding > Terrapin Flyer!!!!! top 2-3 sets this band has played
2010-11-16 (Playin>Colors of the Rain>The Wheel>UJB>Let It Grow>Wharf Rat is GREAT; average Colors because Phil seems to be having trouble with his vocals, and an average The Wheel for this band; the sequence is great, though; UJB>Let It Grow>Wharf Rat is stupendous; really like the jam recovery at the end of Wharf Rat)
2011-03-30 (Colors of the Rain>Mason's Children is firey, and a pretty ferocious The Other One with the entire band smoking)
2011-07-17 (Dark Star; Chimenti, and maybe the entire band, must've been listening to some Miles Davis earlier in the day. Chimenti is channeling Bitches Brew in a heavy way. It's not one of their amorphous, lost-their-way versions. Everyone seems to be caught in a Bitches vein. It's very interesting that it is so unique like that. I don't care for too many post-GD Dark Stars, but this is a pretty darn nice one)
2011-11-15 (great ending of 1st set and really nice 2nd set from start to finish) *another top recommendation; I've listened to this one a lot.
2012-04-18(Easy Wind>Viola Lee Blues>Black Peter>Cosmic Charlie - that was an amazing piece of time)
2012-07-13 (good 1st set: Hey Pocky Way, GSET, Crazy Fingers - good 2nd set: Scarlet, Fire, Let It Grow, Dark Star Milestones jam at the beginning, Unbroken Chain)
2012-07-15 (really nice second set and with Terraplin split in half)
**Taken from my listening notes. They aren't intended to be of much help to anyone buy myself, but it is easier to pull a list together from my notes than any other way. If you enjoy AUDs, track down The Human Mic Stand pulls. Some of the best I've heard coming out of the Furthur and PL&F shows of the past couple years.
