Pittsburgh , Cleveland or State College would be awesome. It would be nice to see them at State College since last time they cancelled the show.

sure i am on the next flight out of here, as soon as this dark star is over...wait then china doll? sorry man, not making it...as much as i would love a good homemade pizza, and i know if there's a household to get it, it's over at your place, i just can't make it.

if there are capitol theater shows, and i have the time/inclination, i am going to get a suite with kitchen and you will cook pizzas. we will dine on various pies pre-show. and then possibly several more post show.

hope all is well with you strick, tell mike i said hi if you remember, STAY WARM.

Why does everyone always give my quiet humble city such a hard time? Port Chester is a nice place and all of that, but for one of us it would be a lot more time consuming and expensive. I was going to invite everyone over to my humble abode for a NYC hoe-down before the shows, but with all the attitudes people have, this might not be the best plan. Forget me for a second (I know that is hard to do) and think of Phil. By show date he may be 74. He has an apartment in Manhattan, and the less traveling that he has to do, the better and longer he will play. As added incentive I will show everyone from FFF all the cool spots to hang out and where to get the best pizza!

As far as the pizza, the best is Full Moon on Arthur Ave. or Tony's on DeKalb. But the best pizza is still in Chicago.

Re: NYC shows, I'm with you. However let's have some shows at the Garden. Best venue in town, and one of the best in the
world. It seems some shows at the Capitol are in the cards, and we should embrace that as a possibility. Make those the small venue shows in the immediate area and not repeat the debacle of the Beacon again.

I wish they'd do Radio City again, NYC shows are great but GA floor really sucks there in places like Roseland and Best Buy, though BB wasn't all that bad being so small, as long as your on the lower floor away from the bar.

If they do Cap I want to be all the way in the back of the balcony - best seats in the house... actually 3 or 4 rows from the top center of balcony is the best spot there.

-well 1st row balcony would be sweet but when your up higher you get all the visuals on the side walls going in the corner of your eyes when your watching the stage....

I'll ask you this, and will from a personal perspective. What's wrong with MSG? More good Dead/TOO/Furthur shows have been played there then any other venue in the city. Besides there's a very liberal policy in terms of what some folks like to do, ya' savvy? Yeah it's big, but not too big, and it has more mojo than any other on the island, and on the globe in general. The only other place I could see Furthur playing with the same pedigree as MSG would be Royal Albert Hall in London.

I saw four Phil & Friends in the Capital last November and enjoyed every minute. It is a wonderful, intimate venue. It adds so much to the experience to see music in a nice place. Which brings me to Madison Sqare Garden. I saw the Grateful Dead play more shows there (over 50) than in any other venue. Or any 4 or 5 venues, but who is counting. The Grateful Dead had the ability to turn MSG into a living room. Security left us alone. So many fond memories. The Garden has recently been revamped. It is not as easy to move around in the venue, but it still MSG.
So a few nights at MSG, then a few at the Capital Theater sounds like a plan which has my complete support. After that I will even go to Kansas City just so I can attend the projected FFF pool party!

I love MSG I just don't think their going to play there in the spring but I would prefer it over most NYC venues with GA floors, not over Radio City. I just haven't been considering it in the spring run since they always seem to do smaller venue's that time of year.

Well, I have miles from Southwest for a one-way ticket and I'll have miles on United, after my India trip, for a one-way ticket.
Wherever they play, after April, I'm hoping to see at least 3 shows. Maybe I'll follow them around for a bit with some of you

and if that entailed a night at the esteemed Starlight amphitheater then I'm all for it. A wonderful venue indeed.
