I haven't been to California since the 90's and I'm super excited about getting out there for NYE shows. A couple of friends have told me that they visited a Jerry Garcia Memorial in Fairfax while in the bay area for shows. From what i understand the memorial is a bronze plaque with flowers and a bench maybe? I would like to take the trip to see this, I guess it's not too far from TXR..


Have any of you visited this area, or have you heard anything about it?

I now live in San Rafael so I can research it for you. I'd love to visit it also. I look forward to meeting you New Years.

Its actually just a cement inlay with a nice little plaque and some assorted trinkets. Sadly in the middle of a gravel parking lot and often times hidden by a parked car. It is worth checking out though if your day tripping through.

Its 15 mins from my apartment so I will check it out and report back.

I can't imagine something like that could exist without being vandalized. The way things are today. Maybe because nobody knows about it.
