I just got into a debate W/ the guy I work w/ who is a Head from back in the day. I'm a new head, never seen anybody but Furthur or The Dead, and I always thought St.Stephan 'cause thats how they spell it. He thinks St.Steven 'cause thats how they sing it. I don't really care any way, Im just not sure...Steven or Stephan, Help-Slip-Frank would be appreciated.

It's spelled Stephen. But it is pronounced Steven. In this case, the "ph" has a "V" sound.

Still not sure if its the St.stEVEN or St.StEPHEN. Words are odd, especially in the language we speak. Just trying to figure it out. I know as soon as I get home I'm listening to all the St.Stephens I have and will let you know. Can't argue w/ Listening to my shows for a reason.

steven and stephen are pronounced the same way. the song was released as "St. Stephen"

your question has been answered multiple times, i think you are thinking of a different name, phonetically pronounced "steffahn". if thats not the miscommunication, i'd suggest re-reading the thread
