TO FURTHUR: An open invitation

#21 3 years, 6 months ago
First off - NICE NEW BOARD!

Second, let's talk PITTSBURGH, MARCH 30th for a minute!

I play in a local band called theCAUSE. We do a bunch of songs you may recognize and we're playing DIRECTLY AFTER the Furthur show on Wednesday, MARCH 30th just 2.3 MILES AWAY from the Peterson Events Center at a cool place called THE THUNDERBIRD CAFE. I would like to formally invite each & every band member in Furthur to this show. It's a decent room with a pretty darn good system. We'll make room! In any case, the place should be packed with a bunch of folks coming off an excellent show at the Pete and, if you don't want the night to be completely over, we'd be honored if you stopped by to play.

My wife and I are coming to Pittsburgh on the 30th. Can we come over also?

I'll be able to find it.
I live with fear and danger everyday. But, occasionally, I leave her to fight a fire.

CAN you??? If you don't, I'll be bummed! I've been wanting to meet you for a while now!
I'm mailing your DVDs either tomorrow or Monday, depending on what the kids have in store for me when I get home tonight.

I hope you meant, MARCH 30th, as I initially (and VERY MISTAKINGLY) posted the show was on April 30th. THE SHOW IS ON MARCH 30th, DIRECTLY FOLLOWING THE FURTHUR SHOW @ THE PETE!

I'm also putting this up on the Music Talk Board.....(where I should have put it in the first place).

Thanks Tourpro, for pointing out my error.

Gee Pappy, how cool would it be to have some members of Furthur show up? John Kadlecik showed up at the after party in Boston, but the fire alarm was set off. Not sure if he'd have sat in or not, but it was very cool that he showed up to visit with everyone. Not able to catch the Pitt show, but very happy the band is playin your town. I do hope to get there one day and catch "theCAUSE!"

There was a brief mix-up....Sunshine Family Band & Digital, for some reason, had their bands listed as playing the FURTHUR AFTERPARTY at The THUNDERBIRD on 3/30....that is NOT the case. theCAUSE will be there - confirmed this morning with the owner, who knew nothing of the other bands. SSFB is a great band, by the way....never seen Digital, but I wish both bands success! And I sure hope to see some familiar faces at the T-BIRD that night!!!

I imagine all the members of Furthur are clearing their schedules so they can sit in.

Have a great show.
