Our first stop is, Grateful Dead Live at Golden State Studios on 1965-11-03. Very interesting, as this is the first time they
recorded in a studio. Although known as the Warlocks, they recorded as "The Emergency crew". The recording from this
session was released as, "Birth of the Dead"

Now this appears to be the entire session right here. High quality, and very unique and enjoyable.

A really enjoyable trip down memory lane today. That "Birth of the Dead" video is an amazing find. I've never heard this.

Still Takin it Weirder

The best most "rocking" heartfelt version of Touch of Grey ever. This one while totally a "rocker" is a real tear jerker if you think about why this concert took place in the first place and how it had to hit the band & tons of folks all over the country but especially in the bay area. This was NOT the first show after Bills death though --previously scheduled 4 night stand at the Oakland coliseaum went on starting 2 day s after his death. The show starts with "Sugar magnolia" Bills favorite song and well just listen....also there in mournig and joining the band were Carlos Santana & Gary Duncan of Quicksilver. A Mona bustout first since 1972.
