This batch turned out good, better than I thought it would. I'm having some in a slinger for breakfast. Nice balanced flavors, the turkey thighs are a nice addition. They have their own flavor and the fat from them really helps add depth. This one really headed me in a new direction.
For those who have not had the pleasure of a slinger yet its hash browns covered in chili with cheese and eggs, and the variations of those ingredients. Made popular in the all night diners by people who had been out partying and wanted something to eat in the early morning hours, usually while drunk. Sounds like a bit of a train wreck but is actually pretty good. Today mine was turkey chili, eggs medium, cheddar cheese and English muffin. Back when I was drinking I never tried one.

So anyway Em, come to the cook off. There should be good food and treats of chili, wine, and small batch whiskey and bourbon. Not that I'm going to try any liquor, but the folks who follow that stuff should have good palettes and the food should be interesting. It would be nice if chuck could come but he's usually so busy. Love that guy.
Plus its always nice to see you of course.
