ya know i wonder if you phish haters ever actually listened to any live phish shows? those boys can jam real tight.geesh how many times can you listen to trucking? do you ever listen to any other non dead bands?

Yes, I've listened to and watched Phish many times over the years. I think they're nice guys and decent musicians but terrible improvisers and absolutely god-awful song writers. I wish I did like it more, but I just don't. I like and listen to lots of different music, from rock to classical, but haven't been able to develop a taste for Phish. Oh well!
well at least you listened before passing judgement so many people ive spoken too about this admit they nevereven listened to the band. i dont expect everyone to like them thatwhy baskin robbins has over 31 flavors

I've seen Phish a few times and my overall assessment is once again they are good if not very good musicians, but their tunes are too bubble gummy for me. I have to admit that I had fun at their shows. When they play covers that is cool, I mean pulling out Little Feat's Mercenary Territory, that was awesome! For my money however, give me Furthur every time.
Jeff Chimenti blows any one of them off the stage.

People...here's the deal: When (not if, cuz no one lives forever) the band decides that it is time to "move on to other things" and stop touring, you can BET they will be very up front with the news. Because when that announcement is made, you guarantee sold out shows everywhere for that final tour. Who wouldn't want to be out on the last dance? Fact is that there have been shows this year that did not sell out. What better way to call it a day than to cal it a day and let everyone know what the score is? When that time comes, we will all be clued in. Make no mistake about it.
Until that time, love your family, love the music, love the band, enjoy life...have fun.

They need to make their tour route more travel friendly!
I went walkin' out last summer
Tryin' to find a breath of air
I went walkin' on the mountain
A friend had told me I'd find you there

I've listened to Phish many times, seen them live, and they are definitely great musicians. I just don't feel the lyrics like I do with Dead / Furthur tunes. I'm partial to "Stealing Time from the Faulty Plan", but other songs like "Gotta Jibboo" and "Golgi Apparatus" seem silly. However, they are fun to see live.

thanks splatter and lets not forgot mike gorden bassplayer for phish playing at the tri show for jerrrys bday. as for jamming skills thay are top notch lyrics ...ill give ya that one but hey zappa was similiar in style not everyone wants or write story telling songs,i happen to like the storytelling songs too btw

Uncle Frank was one of the best. I tried seeing Phish in the early 90's when they did the ski slopes tour. They are just to random, + I hate to say it but most of their followers are pretty rude.

Got NYE tickets for YMSB. Saw Bela Fleck, Tom Petty, Bonnie Raitt, + Neil Young the last six months. Do I have your blessings?

I heard from a guy that works the ice machine at the hotel in Vegas that Bob Weir was overheard telling the Bell Hop that this would be his final show in NV.

You heard it here first

Not at all brother, the person that works on the ice machines in Hard Rock is a female not a 'guy' and JK personally delivers all of Bobby's luggage so he wouldn't be talking to a Bell Hop, nice try though
