McNally's and Blair Jackson's are the best of the bunch. Phil's was fine, Scully's tabloid trash, Gans' first book back in '83 was good. Haven't read too many others, and don't plan to.

I, actually liked both of Hank Harrison's books.

Blair Jackson: Garcia

I learned about Jerry Growing up, His choice words For John Lennon one night and how his Silver age Comicbook collection was going thru probate court.

and many other strange discoveries.

I would like to bring this one back, to see what people are enjoying to read about the Grateful Dead and any other books that might be related. Here are a few books that I have read and enjoyed-

My favorite is The Official Book of the Deadheads. I enjoyed Phil's book and learned a lot from it.

AND
Steves Book Home before daylight.

Some funny stuff in Skeleton Key too.

That's one of my favorites, I still have one the first copies printed, numbered and signed.
Also, Mickey's Drumming at the Edge. And, The Grateful Dead and Philosophy by Steven Gimber is a good read.

I have read The Grateful Dead and Philosophy is a good book but I haven't read the other two so thank you I appreciate the information.

I've gotta get reading. Only read, "Searching for the sound", so far. I want to read them all. Hoping for a long retirement.
