believe it or not, lots of folks didn't like this band, mostly because phil wasn't involved.
but the shows I saw were nothing short of spectacular.

is what I'm hearing.

It does sound good.

What separates Furthur from all the other ones is the sense of family I feel within the band. And the sense of community it inspires among US.

By its very name, Phil and Friends was a rotating band.

Ratdog had more cohesiveness, but it was really the Bob Weir band.

When the Dead and TOO formed there was always a sense that it would go for a tour or two.

Furthur is a band......

i was not able to experiece this one but i hear you very much, furthur is so good.

unfortunate for me only got on the bus 8/20/08 ratdog/allmans but on for good now!!!!

I don't want to sound authoritative. All the music from P& F, Ratdog, TOO, sounds great.

But Furthur resonates with me.....and judging by this board,with many others....in a way that the other ensembles didn't.

You just feel it in your bones, no?

to me they're all great
If I had my way, the Other Ones would still be together .
But, that's just because back in '98 when they first came around everyone was so overjoyed that they were together.
We never thought we'd hear that sound again
