Furthur- permanent or temporary?

#15849 3 years, 6 months ago
So i just started going to shows in 2009. i know not a long time at all but i have been asking around at every show and the general opinion is that Furthur is the best they have sounded since the 1990's. But i want to know you think they are gonna stick together for awhile or do you think we will see Lesh and friends and Ratdog break away again. Or even warren back in the band and we will have The Dead again. im just curious as to some thoughts. Lets hear it.

So many roads i know...

Nothing is forever. But I do believe that Furthur will be around for the near future. Enjoy it while you can.

i think furthur will remain an indefinite lineup--phil and bob have both mentioned in interviews that furthur is what is going on now and is what will continue to happen at this time...i also think in between furthur tours we will start to see phil and friends stuff at terrapin landing, ratdog stuff coming from bob's new studio, and JK band will probably be spreading outside the DC area...i believe they are going to take what they've learned with the grateful dead to make sure furthur can last and give us what we love
who else is gonna bring you, a broken arrow?

you never can tell, i thought the other ones would last in '98 and the dead in '03
I just hope that the ride continues, i love the music regardless of what the band calls itself

For me, it's the best incarnation of the band since Jerry died. The success of the tours has got to be a motivator. Seems there is a big buzz about them. I really love this lineup. Hope they continue as long as possible. Would love to see Micky and Billy jump back on the train at some point. Looking forward to summer tour surprises and great jams.

After putting much thought into the question I have decided that they are temporarily permanent.
