On the day I was born daddy sat down and cried

RIP Adam Yauch

He was way too young.
I went walkin' out last summer
Tryin' to find a breath of air
I went walkin' on the mountain
A friend had told me I'd find you there

That is way too young. R.I.P. Adam.
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.

"Well I just got home 'cause I'm out on bail."
"What's the time?"
"It's time to buy ale!"

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile. I'm sure that's how he'd want it.
"Got any nails?"
"No!"
"Got any flies?"

Saw them in 93 in Munich with Public Enemy on the Fear of a Black Planet tour which was unreal, then Vancouver Lolapalooza in 94 and on their own at the PNE (last minute tix went on sale moments before the show and a whole herd of people ran to the box office when the 'tickets available' sign lit up) then again in 98. It was always a pleasure. He went before his time. Fare ye well.

I saw them on that '94 Lollapalooza tour. They were better than the Smashing Pumpkins, who were headlining.

I've been a fan of the Beasties since Paul's Boutique. 47 is way too young for anyone to die, but I really feel the loss to the larger music community. He was a good man, too. Probably would have had a good career in politics if he had more time.

I'm getting really tired of cancer taking away good artists!
