Love his interplay with JK, all the back and forth soloing kind of stuff (you take 16 bars, I take 16 bars etc.). Tom Constanten said something along the lines of 95% of grateful dead songs being written as a showcase for Jerry's guitar.
Now that Jerry is gone, being able to interpret what were his leads through both JK and JC truly does take the music further (sic)-
