"The Fightin' Side of Me" made strongly suspicious that we don't see eye to eye on everything. I think "Okie From Muskogee" was at least somewhat tongue in cheek (especially if you've heard Merle talk about writing it) but "The Fightin' Side of Me" was a bit "over the top".

Phil (and the other band members) can have any freakin' sticker on their equipment that they want! It is a tad presumptuous to assume that you have the right to tell them what to do. It is equally presumptuous to think that any of them would think "gee, I really need to take that down because some dude doesn't like it."

Even with an elementary understanding of Poli-Science, you should be able to understand that it could be much worse.
You must also understand Economics and the two main philosophies Washington subscribes to. The President is just a spokesman for the entire government body to reassure the citizens that they are "on task".

I know where I stand, and I have enough trust in his integrity not to worry about where he stands." Sticker stays, sticker goes, it doesn't matter to me. I would never suggest that he should do anything about it, certainly. His equipment is his business. I haven't even noticed the Obama sticker.
