Re: BEACON THEATER TICKETS FOR SALE

Thanks for ruining one of my favorite Dylan songs.

Once upon a time you dressed so fine
You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you ?
People'd call, say, "Beware doll, you're bound to fall"
You thought they were all kiddin' you
You used to laugh about
Everybody that was hangin' out
Now you don't talk so loud
Now you don't seem so proud
About having to be scrounging for your next meal.

How does it feel
How does it feel
To be without a home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone ?

You've gone to the finest school all right, Miss Lonely
But you know you only used to get juiced in it
And nobody has ever taught you how to live on the street
And now you find out you're gonna have to get used to it
You said you'd never compromise
With the mystery tramp, but know you realize
He's not selling any alibis
As you stare into the vacuum of his eyes
And say do you want to make a deal?

How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone ?
You never turned around to see the frowns on the jugglers and the clowns
When they all come down and did tricks for you
You never understood that it ain't no good
You shouldn't let other people get your kicks for you
You used to ride on the chrome horse with your diplomat
Who carried on his shoulder a Siamese cat
Ain't it hard when you discover that
He really wasn't where it's at
After he took from you everything he could steal.

How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone ?

Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people
They're drinkin', thinkin' that they got it made
Exchanging all precious gifts
But you'd better take your diamond ring, you'd better pawn it babe
You used to be so amused
At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used
Go to him now, he calls you, you can't refuse
When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose
You're invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal.

How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone ?

Good for you. Thanks for rubbing your scalping in our faces. Great strategy.

No wonder our credit system is in shambles .. they give credit cards to kids .. that is if you really are 16..
I went walkin' out last summer
Tryin' to find a breath of air
I went walkin' on the mountain
A friend had told me I'd find you there

I find it hard to believe that a 16 year old kid spent $1,220 for 10 tickets yet he can't afford to go to the shows? Not doubting you, but it sounds a bit off to me helper.

if you truly bought these off stub hub why not post your receipts? You do that I believe they you'd receive a warmer reception. In my experience if it talks like a scalper and acts like a scalper, well it probably is a scalper.

I'm really saddened by this thread. When did the witchhunt begin ??
He isn't a scalper. He's a 16 year old from Virgina named Sage. The bus picked him up just last fall at Red Rocks. He intended to spend his school Easter break in NY and he spent a good chunk of his savings on these tickets. Now he's in a crunch because his tour buddy can't cover their portion of travel and lodging.

I know this because I spoke to him, and he is heartbroken he can't go. We bought two pairs of tickets at the price he listed.

The Beacon ticket situation - small venue, few other local shows in the area - it's not ideal, but it's gotten downright ugly.I don't understand why resellers have split so many aftermarket pairs but it is what it is, and the self-proclaimed fans with their lame apologies and confessing "I'm broke and really need $100 above face on these", shame on them.

And as for this kid, his life was changed by his first show. We all had to start somewhere and I wonder how many of us would have stuck around after being burned at the stake just for being green.

Shame on us.
this is the season of what now

nobody is burning himat the stake for being green stop being so dramatic we are teaching him that scalping or paying way over face is a bad idea plain and simple.glad hes a real kid and not a scalper but come on 180 bucks for tickets? get a grip

Thanks for putting a real face on the new user name, Tumbleweed!! It's very helpful to know that the posts were by a person who's actually on the bus, albeit recently, and not someone more nefarious. Everything didn't go my way when I was 16, despite the best laid plans; hard to fault him for getting dumped by his tour buddies.

Helperman, I hope you let us get to know you a little better. I also hope you'll try to get tickets from any other source than Stub Hub, given the opportunity, and try to understand why some people feel very strongly about that issue. This Beacon run made it tough on everyone who wanted to get in. Welcome aboard, and hopefully you can make it to some summer shows!

Are you doing Summer Tour? It will be alot easier and cheaper than NYC which I opted to opt out because of the expense.

Hey Helperman, I've said all along, if your telling the truth, I'm sorry you got in this mess. But you should take it as a lesson
learned. No one wants you to leave the scene. But sometimes you make a mistake. We've probably all been there, somehow.
Best you can do is live and learn. Don't be upset at others for being suspicious. If we are, it's only because we have learned.
I strongly urge you to go to as many shows as you can. And take what you can get from what tickets you have left. And
know that if you met me at a show, you would be well taken care of. I do hope to see you down the road sometime.
Peace.
(And please, don't ever do business with Stub-Hub again. Or any scalper. Only deal with people you can trust. )
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.
