I think Bobby takes it but i have yet to find anyone to agree. His voice is deeper and just more pure rock and roll. Don't get me wrong Jerry and Pigpen are incredible but Bobby takes the cake. Anyone agree?

I totally think it depends on the song ~ course this is def from years of conditioning.
I am still shocked to hear Bob sing songs like "Sugaree", but not necessarily because it's bad, just unexpected.
I like hearing Phil's voice on certain songs, too...(finally after all the years of "Let Phil sing")
I like that Jeff and Sunshine have such great range and can add to the vocals in places where none of the other band members are capable of going.
On the whole, I like how the vocals in Furthur are evolving....Furthur.

edit: I didn't mean to leave out JK ~ I think he sounds fantastic, like Jerry before he was battling his demons. In my other post I berate myself for never having seen DSO because of my own stupid pre-conceived notions. I think JK is very talented!Last Edit: 2 years, 2 months ago by ruby_claire.standing on the moon

All right, granted it does depend on the song. I can honestly say i would probably not enjoy hearing bobby sing morning dew but if you had to choose who would it be?-

This is really hard man. And your brave for saying bobby hahah. Im a bobby kid also and hes always been my favorite and Your one of the handful of kids I have met that Agree with me.
Now one that I havnt seen anyone posting yet are Brent Mydland fans. when it comes to vocals he has the most soulfull of any of the band. I might catch some heat for saying that. But for me Brents songs , voice and playing are insane. And to me Jerry was the happiest when he was playing with brent right next to him. Him and brent would take eachother to such insane heights it was just insane. emotional output and musical output. Brent and Jerry where the best team ive heard.
youtu.be/zQHE1wtqu4w - this explains what im talkin about. Btw you gotta love how bobby comes on guns a blazin and firey for Miracle after Brent and JG tear it up. -
