CELEBRATION

#127772 2 years, 1 month ago
i really dig this tune. great hunter/lesh collaboration..liked it when PLQ played it, it was longer

furthur plays a truncated version, good nonetheless, tough one vocally i think for this group but this version i'm posting is stellar

www.archive.org/details/furthur2010-11-1...ficial.113084.flac16

"let a fresh wind tear through your sould
swallow your sorrow and deliver you whole
give you reason to believe again
but finish that prayer before you say amen"

for what it's worth, that entire show is a doozie, enjoy. i'm fairly certain i've posted this show for other reasons in the past...

I agree, I was glad I got to hear it in November. I hope Furthur keeps working on it. I'm repeating myself here, but the whole There and Back Again studio album is great. I was hoping to hear a little more of it, like Night of a Thousand Stars, from Broomfield.

I was at that show. It was the opener and really threw me off because I was unfamiliar with it. Not totally, but didn't know it enough to call it, until the lyrics, of course.

They also played High on a Mountain and Colors of the Rain.

Overall, the show was a bit uneven, but delivered with that second set. The crowd was into it, and it was lots of fun.

heres a vid of celebration

Huge Fan of ALL versions of this song Burt. Thanks for the link and I have seen Furthur do their version of this one 4 times with each one being better than the last.

Heard it for the first time in Indy in November. I love it! Its one of those songs that I'll be singing the rest of the day when I listen to it.
