There is already a great touring band doing JGB. Make sure to check out Melvin Seals and JGB whenever they come to your town.

Absolutely, I just saw jgb last weekend. I've seen them alot. Besides any thing dead related that bob and Phil do, it's the best thing going. The music is amazing, and the crowd is familiar. I also saw them a few months ago at the seafood peddler which is now tc. Show was great. The don't let go was funky and surprisingly they encored with shakedown. Melvin on the organ with shakedown was fresh and funky. I've seen them alot and never have they busted out a gd tune like that.

I'm soo confused (an easy thing for me!)...

So is JGB aka The Schwag? Or are these 2 separate bands??

Searching on the internet is confusing me even more...

JGB with Melvin Seals are playing Denver in April. Trying to figure this out

The Schwag is one of St. Louis' local dead cover bands. Jimmy Tebeau the bass player and founder of the band is the only orginial memeber left. They usually have different people filling in on guitar, drums, keys, etc. Jimmy Tebeau had joined JGB back in 2010 maybe 2009. He formed such great ties with the JGB band that they sometimes fill in with Jimmy for Schwag shows.

When Melvin is playing with JGB is is mostly all Jerry tunes and when Melvin is playing with the Schwag its mostly all Dead tunes. So basicall JGB is all Jerry and Schwag is all Dead.

Hope this helps a little.

JIMMY TEBEAU plays bass in JGB and The Schwag, but they are two different bands. JGB also includes Melvin Seals, from Jerry's JGB, Stu Allen on guitar, and Pete Lavazolli from South Florida's Crazy Fingers on drums.

When I go to JGB.com it shows them playing Denver at Quixotes on April 6th and 7th.

When I go to theschwag.com it shows them also playing the same dates and venue and says "playing as JGB".

I guess that's why I am confused.

Well after looking, I see why your confused. Maybe they are both playing but the time on the schwag say 10 pm. That's pretty late. Then if you want tickets on the schwag site it takes you to the jgb site. Hmmmm

I think it is.
I also think JK should be doing something bigger with the JKB. Come out west and let's see something.
