Wow, I never knew that he was "Uncle John". I heard on Tales that he was the one that had to tell the record company that the band wanted to name the Skull and Roses album "Skull Fuck"!!!

For a rock 'n roll band, as long as things are going well, few know who the manager is. The GD always had problems with people who either managed or mismanaged them. The way the story goes is that whenever the band was in a bind, they turned to John McIntire to get things back on track. Considering what happened with the latest Terrapin Crossroads ticket fiasco, one can appreciate how important proper management skills are. There are alot of unsung people who helped the GD be the GD. RIP John.
