It is a great set. One of the best Dead shows I ever attended.

There were two songs they should have played that night, the last for JFK.

Unbroken Chain, because of the blue light arcing from the electrical wires near the bathroom. And, of course, Sampson and Delilah. tear this god damn mother fucking building down. .

I wasn't as high as lots of people that night, but it sure was a doozy. the Scarlet Fire, Blow Away, SOTM....I swear there was a fullmooon, but last time I checked the lunar calendar there was not.

I saw two dead shows there (87 & 89), and an Army-Navy game, but my most memorable event was my first concert in 1976, the bicentennial year...Yes & Frampton. ... oh to be 16 and take that ride one more time!

I made both those Dead shows, as well as an Army-Navy game. Didn't get to the Yes show but I caught the Stones there ('78 and '81). Those shows were a heavier party than the Dead. In '78 I feel a tap on my shoulder and the guy behind me asks, "Hey man, you want a hit?" Then he passes me a six-foot bong. At that show the security was as wasted as the crowd!

This is a great DVD, a believe Len Dell'Amico filmed/directed it. Loser and Blow Away from the 1st set will make your skin crawl.

Somehow they played it in HD here at this new theater, The Palm, 587 capacity. I thought it was a premier, but premiering such a film in Telluride just barely makes any sense. An amazing facility, though fully seated. Good for a movie I suppose, still, up dancing on the side for Scarlet>Fire. Excellent video and playing that night.

I have the audio from that show, but never did see the whole movie. However, there are several clips from it on Youtube.
Heres that Scarlet>Fire
