Rocking the cradle box set

#117927 2 years, 8 months ago
For some reason i have a strange obsession with the dead in Egypt maybe it because some of the shows they played there are legendary! Is buying the box set worth it?! or is there anymore box sets i should look at into buying?! Europe 72 and rocking the cradle are the two i really want to get

I think there's only that 2 CD/1 DVD set that came out in '08. That's a great collection, some really nice and spacey jams. I doubt we'll see anything more. The band themselves admit that their playing in Egypt was generally less than inspired.

Yeah, the GD have said that, but still there was the call for this box set to be released since many of the recordings are average. It also has some video footage which is grate. If anything, it is not bad by any means, but isn't legendary. it is the story behind the Egypt trip that maybe makes well worth the purchase. Why not buy it?

Rocking the Cradle is worth the $30 for historical value alone.

The DVD is fun to watch and you won't be disappointed with the music either.

Is it a five star collection of shows? No. But well worth the beans.

Pretty much the same reason they don't want to release their Woodstock performance.
They just didn't think it showed their best work. And that was pretty historical too.
