Jerry was the soundtrack of my youth. Both of them knew that what you didn't play was just as,, if not more, important than what you played.
Other guitarists that make my list are Blackbyrd McKnight, Citrus, Richie Havens, Bob Weir, Ani DiFranco and Pete Seeger.

Saw Garry Shider at least 25 times with P-Funk, Bootsy, etc. He was great but I'd have to say that Eddie Hazel, who I saw in the mid 70s, was even better.
