I've been dioggin Adrian since Discipline came out and I caught that show on 10-31-81. Seen the Bears a few times and recently caught Adrian's one man show---really cool---lots of stories about playing with Zappa and answering audience questions---also, brought his own paintings he's been working on and had them on stage.

There's a lot of great guit players out there for sure. not that these are my favs, but no one mentioned Fareed Haque from Garage Majah or Hiram Bullock. Great players who are worth checking out.

Kimock
Sless
Alan Holdsworth
are some of my favs to see these days when I can.

"seek out Roy Williams. He's playing with Stephan Wrembel tomorrow night in Scranton, PA"
I'd say the same about Wrembel, blows my mind every time I see him. I'll check Roy out. If you by chance talk with Stephane tomorrow would you please tell him his Green Apple book buddy says to get back out to SF this Summer?

I forgot Bill Frisell

and Mark Ribot
many others, for sure

Ralph Towner

These guys were pretty good one Friday at the Warfield. This show was a ton of fun, what a treat.

Eddie was awesome. I never had the opportunity to meet him as he was long gone by the time I joined the P-Funk family.

I still go with Garry. The sparseness of his playing was just amazing.

Sparse but on the one!

So I have a question you can probably answer: Now that Bootsy is back on the road, who will he have on guitar now that Garry and Catfish are gone?

I have heard of a possible guitarist but not at liberty to say. Soon as I know for sure I will let y'all know.

Garry taught me so much in the short 7 years I knew him. I miss him terribly.

And you've got to respect the fact that he was basically the music director of that insane crew.

Yes, he would rehearse us at sound check and was G's right hand man on stage. If you messed up you would hear it from Garry. We called it "getting Shidered."

Got Shidered myself a few times.
