Hey now fellow heads! I've been following these message threads like some kind of internet junkie the past couple of weeks and finally got around to joining the club. As you can probably guess, I got on the bus at SPAC in 1984, although it wasn't until Halloween 1985 in Columbia SC that I realized what that even meant! Quick story from that fall. The night before tickets went on sale I was waiting out with a whole shitload of other heads -the first had arrived from PA if i recall about a week earlier and started the line-wow, waiting in line for tickets-there's a blast from the past. Well anyways there I am camped out with my 4 inch thick Chemistry text thinking that I was actually going to study for the exam the next day. Let's just say that my time as an engineering student at USC (the real USC by the way-Go Cocks!) was 3 semesters short! Just like all of us for sure, the Grateful Dead has been a huge part of my life for a whole lotta years now and I for one am thrilled with what Furthur is doing with the music these days. I was blown away at Barton Hall last year and have found each show more amazing than the last. In closing for now, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or in the words of the roman's, "de gustibus non est disputandum". Peace all........
