SERIOUSLY??? I am surprised that most people do not have one single song that stands above the rest for them. Of course I love everything, and of course I could make a top 5 or top 10. But there will always be one song that moves me more than any other song; the song that changed me from a fan to a die-hard some 26 years ago; and that is Brown-Eyed Women.

Of course, my other tops are Terrapin, Crazy Fingers, Jack Straw, Cassidy, and Scarlet Begonias. Not to mention Ramble on Rose, Althea, China Doll, Black Peter, Weather Report Suite, Lost Sailor, and Cumberland Blues.

Oh, did I forget to mention Foolish Heart, Days Between, Eyes of the World, Help on the Way.......

I could no sooner pick a favorite Dead tune than Beatles. I am concerned that more Catholics didn't recover from their upbringing in the arms of the Dead. Read the Book, it is a good book. I read it without indoctrination, though certainly live in an indoctrinated society, and want my own understanding. No one I know would have thought I could be so close to Christian, only label I've accepted in this life is Deadhead. Point being so many of the JGB and Dead tunes are inspired, not necessarily by any one dogma, though clearly Jerry chose more "Christian" inspired tunes than did the Grateful Dead.
"Ripple," what a tune. "Morning Dew," unparalleled, as is "Stella Blue." "Fire on the Mountain" and "The Other One," had me airborne. "Unbroken Chain" and "Box of Rain." "How Sweet it Is" and "Shining Star." For this forum my favorite tune is, "Sisters and Brothers."

A little quick on the tempo, but every version's good with me now.
I Am You, As You Are Me, As We Are One, and We Are All Together.
