Off the top of my head, 5/8/77 Cornell Scarlet>Fire is a fantastic one, not my favorite entire show like it is a lot of people but I always really dug the Scarlet>Fire from it clocks in at around 25 mins and Phil bombs galorePeople joining hand in hand while the music plays the band-

10/14/1983 has always been one of my favorite scarlet-fires,as well as an all around great show. www.archive.org/details/gd1983-10-14.aud....111055.sbeok.flac24
Its also long, about 35 mins.-

2/26/90 is over 30 mins and has some great playing by Bobby. Jerry just hangs back during the transitional jam (smokes a ciggy) and Bobby does some really cool stuff. Maybe not the best, but I sure love it!
Also, I think 11/1/79 breaks the 35 minute mark.-

- AND LEAVE IT ON!!!!
Real tempted to roll w/ 5/8/77, 5/4 pretty bouncy, bit mellower, 5/8 is an ELECTRIC night, up, down, all over town. I have to go through my 80's again and spin some more tomorrow; presently, '84 Hampton among my favorites. 8/6/89 www.archive.org/details/gd89-08-06.sbd.12831.sbeok.shnf good show, good jam at Scarlet's mid-end, the Fire had some of the earlier guitar buzz tones of this song. Being an Eighties on Head, I'm partial to Brent and Jerry together, although this wasn't one of Brent's most intricate nights. Also from Road Trips Vol2. #4, perhaps of my favorites due to the magic of that night, Jerry's voice in Standing on the Moon that night, damn, I had my tears rolling. Here's a special show for me, perhaps a little compressed, some less than palatable delay, shortish www.archive.org/details/gd1985-06-16.sbd.miller.105876.flac16 9/15/85 probably the best fire from that year. However, for the patient few, and those who neglect the nineties: www.archive.org/details/gd1990-06-15.sbd.miller.106144.flac16 truly exceptional. It's pretty amazing to love a band and know that my favorite show was not one I was at . . . those Seventies, wow. I just listened to these mentioned, I'm like
I'll have to check with my Grateful Dead Guru. Nough fer now. peace
Bonus in case ya missed it, sorry no Fire, just touching, and damn sad:
and a decent fire, great footage:
And Iraqistatefair what's up w/ the link? I wuz expecting some ripping Fire, now I've got another news source to check in my bookmarks, thanks, and I'm bewildered.Last Edit: 1 year, 4 months ago by Iriecycle. Reason: bonus for bonusI Am You, As You Are Me, As We Are One, and We Are All Together.-

One of my favorites is from Giants Stadium 9/2/78
It only 28 minutes but Jerry's jamming during the bridge is stellar.
