Dolly Parton's original version of I Will Always Love You. Devastating.
"Got any nails?"
"No!"
"Got any flies?"

guaranteed to bring a tear to your eye, even to you heartless bastards.

a tune written by Ralph McTell in 1969 and sung by many others.

perhaps more melancholy than sad....but it does the trick.

The Sailor, coming out again, the lady fairly leapt at him.
That's how it stands today. You decide if he was wise.

Hey Lynx

Share one of yours.

Are you down in the dumps? Not so far that a tune and the promise of others to fill the air can't help to lift you, I hope.

Hey TS,

Thanks for asking. Down in the dumps? I guess you could say that. I'm just searching for reasons not to be pessimistic about the human condition as usual. Ok though, but the song that gets me most is this: track 5 (Scudder's Lane) from this show:

if any of you are sad, or down, give this is a listen. It's not a song, but a documentary. Not to find happiness at others misery, but this made me realize how well off I am, and hopefully all of you too.

After you give this a watch, go get George Orwell's "Down and Out in London and Paris"
