The Modulus is perfect for this music, IMO. The black bass (richter? can't remember the name) is cool but it sometimes gets lost in the mix. Unlike the Modulus, which can blow a hole in the mix and get right out in front when it needs to

I love that bass too. I wish he would break out the bass from "The Grateful Dead Movie"

Phil is supposed to have the Ritter fixed up so that it works right ... he spent a bundle of cash on two Ritters which are all customized adn handmade and all that ...And the new Modulus is a TBX which is serious custom $$$$$$$'s job

I prefer the Modulus. Better low end and better for bombs. The Ritter sounded buzzy to me; it cuts better at lower volumes but the Modulus cuts through fine if Phil is loud enough. Different strokes for different folks!
