Apparently I have too much time on my hands so with all the comments about where Furthur plays I thought it would be interesting to see how things actually stack up. This UNOFFICIAL (I am prone to mistakes) list is for complete shows done by Furthur since their inception (SEPT 2009) through the end of the 2011 Spring tour.

WOW. New York really does get the love. Makes me glad I'm from PA!

Wow! Didnt see they've played taht much in PA! Makes me mad I havent seen as many shows then!!! WTF???

Of the 25 shows listed in New York state, the majority were in NYC. That's whos getting the love. Us upstaters get less than Pa. : )

Clearly they never play anywhere else. It's a New York band, after all...

just a couple per east coast swing is all we ohioans need
if they can hit buffalo and pittsburgh they can make columbus and cleveland easy

left coast canucks would love a couple of shows...

I'm not that surprised. Because of all the area colleges, Philly's always been a hotbed of Dead activity. My college felt like Deadhead Central in the 70s. What I find a little poignant about the summer tour is that all the venues are pretty large which means that some PA sweet spots like Penn's Peak and the Sherman probably won't see any more Furthur shows.

I've got 124 shows total. Got a list of dates so we can match up?

I think our difference is that I did NOT include the 17 "Live Rehearsal Sessions" or the 1 "Open Air Soundcheck" since these were not real shows but rather practice gigs (usually about 8-10 songs in a small local bar) they did in California prior to going out on tour in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

If I included these practice gigs then my number would be 124 also.
