Happy Hannukah!
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
don't make no difference to me.

I will be celebrating tonight (no latka's - potato pancakes though for me)

I'm Jewish, my wife is not. So my daughter, now 13 still expects her 8 presents for Hanukkah (One every night) and then her XMas gifts. To top it off she was born on 12-31 so she is swimming in gifts this time of the year. Poor kid

so you celebrate christmaka! I have a friend whos family does the same thing!

I celebrate every day,as close to 4:20 as I can. but yes, we get the best of both worlds around holiday time. And the lucky kids..... ah
FFF! Family is Forever!!!

May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you

Happy Hannukah, SF and everyone! I just ordered the potato knishes today, we've always had them on Christmas. Not quite sure why 2 minister's kids always served their family knishes, latkes (you'd like mine, jared!) and pastrami on Christmas Eve, but I still follow the same tradition. Great, traditional food knows no boundaries!

Where do you order knishes from? I love them and can't locate them anywhere in St. Louis!

I get them from our local deli, which also happens to be a national foodie mecca, Zingerman's. They ship a lot of stuff, though, so check it out at zingermans.com. The baked ones may well be shippable. Love that place!

May the light of the season shine upon you all and your families.

I'm not Jewish, but as a New Yorker I qualify for honorary Jewishness. My mother made the best potato pancakes in the world. Eaten with chilled applesauce, there is nothing like it!

Once in a while you can get shown a festival of lights in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
