Does anyone have any suggestions for hotels or even towns to check out for overnight accommodations after the PNC show? My preference is to book a hotel, but I'd consider camping. Not so sure I want to stay overnight in a rest stop.

I'll be heading back to NYC the next day, so my preference would be either somewhere close to PNC or going back north to NY.

Oh no...please don't do rest stops in NJ... there is a campground in Matawan, I think it's Cheesequake Park. That's not too far from Holmdel. There is also a Holiday Inn (or there was) on RTe. 35 either in Middletown or possibly Hazlet. That's close too. You don't wanna go driving off to NYC thru Jersey right after the show. Have a great time, I'm going to Bethel the week before, may go to Jersey, don't know yet, but I can stay at my kids house.

Yes, rest-stop is not my thing. I'll check out the Holiday Inn. I'm starting this tour in Bethel and I'll make it to 5 - 7 Northeast shows. Can't wait! Less than 1 month away!

If you go up rte 35 away from Holmdel, past Hazlet, you will go thru Middletown. The cops suck to put it mildly. But the Middletown Diner is open 24/7 if you have the munchies after the show. Enjoy. Lots of nice beached off rte 36 if you're staying the next day.
Oh, you said you're going to Bethel too? Where's your seat? I'm on the lawn.

nope,the diner is still open but I am not sure about the 24/7

lawn seats almost everywhere except for Jones Beach. I may buy someones reserved for SPAC but will likely end up in GA away.

I cannot wait, starting in Bethel --> Jones Beach (or may skip, I hate the venue even though I live 40 min away on Long Island).

Then Vibes --> PNC -- Mann (or vica versa)

Hopefully end up in that place in upstate NY I cannot pronounce or spelll (with a C)

Thanks for the advice in the diners, I think I will avoid nasty cops at all cost. Speaking of which, watch Rosco NY... I think you may pass it on the way to Bethel or that place upstate, troopers with serious attitudes and speed traps. Wortsburo NY also has a bad reputation...but I may be dating myself (the bastards there used to mess with us driving to and from college in Binghampton).
