The West Coast Zoner Family is, once again, very pleased to announce the
5th annual West Coast Zoner Jam will take place at Noon on Saturday,
October 15th. The event is a day of FREE music at the Jerry Garcia
Amphitheater in McLaren Park, San Francisco, 45 Shelley Drive, San
Francisco, CA 94134.
Five bands will be performing in addition to performances by local poets,
jugglers, and a crackerjack team of enlightened masters. The West Coast Zoner Jam is a celebration of the community spirit and camaraderie among musicians, friends and families who have met through experiences related to Grateful Dead music. While inspired by members of the legendary San Francisco band, the bands at Zoner Jam perform all styles of music, including original Blues, Roots, Rock, Americana and pure improvisational Jams.
Canyon, who organized the first Zoner Jam in 2007, says “The original
inspiration for the Zoner Jam is to create a place where friends, new and
old, can get together, make music and spend time together.” He also added, “Only those that show up are welcome to attend”, which has become the motto for all of the West Coast Zoner Jams.
This is a BYO event. Nothing will be sold. The event is non-profit activity and is sponsored solely by donations from people across the country. In addition, the West Coast Zoner Family is honored to help support Friends of McLaren Park.
